Buildings
For this project I went to San Diego Downtown area to shoot these set of photos. When I got there, there was so much to work with in a sense of buldings, so I went to multiple buildings and shot their close-ups, and unique angles. But what I think made these photos cool is that I went really far away from them and took far shots of the buildings. I went to new-er buildings and a couple older buildings because I wanted a variety. There was so much to work with in downtown, and I learned a lot about different yet unique angles during this project. I was most fascinated by the sun's reflection, and felt it would be cool if I had it peering out of the side of the buildings in a couple of them, to make it really stand out. What I did in some of them was put a vignette on some because I felt that really drew the eye to the most important part on the building. I also took them to photoshop to enhance them a little bit. Because this was San Diego, I also wanted to encorporate some palm trees to show the buildings as being more on the fun unique side of San Diego. I also made it a goal to shoot on a really sunny day so I could express San Diego in the best way possible. Finally, I learned that it's quite hard to take close-up photos of buildings in Downtown because their is typically construction in the front entrance, so I decided to work around that and find particular buildings. Overall, I really like these photos.
